IncentivesIn order to attract residential, commercial and industrial growth, we offer certain incentives to developers and companies. The City of Benbrook, the Benbrook Water and Sewer Authority (BWSA), the Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce and the Benbrook Economic Development Authority (BEDC) work together to assist existing and new businesses which should insure continued, orderly growth. Tax Abatements Benbrook has a policy that allows up to 10 years of 100 percent property tax abatement. The abatement is to be negotiated between the business and the Mayor, and is based on the total jobs created along with other criteria identified by City Council members. The forms below are in in Adobe Acrobat format. Get Adobe Acrobat Reader here . Freeport Exemptions We have double freeport exemptions with Tarrant County and the Fort Worth ISD having adopted the exemptions. The City of Benbrook has not been asked to grant freeport exemptions, and therefore, at this time has not adopted the ordinance. Infrastructure Assistance The BEDC has the ability to assist with infrastructure development and enhancement in a variety of ways. This can include over-sizing water lines, street development, and water and sewer line development. Workforce Assistance The BEDC can assist incoming companies with job fairs, employee recruitment, and other employee screenings as necessary.
