Household Hazardous Waste Voucher Benbrook residents unable to attend a scheduled Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event may come to City Hall at 911 Winscott Road during regular business hours to obtain a purple voucher to take HHW items only (no e-waste) to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center (off Bridge Street, near I-30 & 820). Vouchers are free to residents, but the City of Fort Worth will charge the City of Benbrook approximately $47 per voucher redeemed, so please dispose of as many items at one time as possible. Acceptable materials: acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, all batteries, brake fluid, craft & hobby materials, degreasers, drain cleaners, fertilizer, fluorescent lights, herbicides, household chemicals, motor oil, oil filters, paints/stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, solvents, transmission fluid, and varnishes. Unacceptable materials: ammunition, explosives, and medical waste, radioactive material (smoke detectors), waste generated by businesses, TVs, tires, propane and butane cylinders. |
