| 28th Annual National Night Out Against Crime and Drugs
The Benbrook Police Department along with the Benbrook Fire Department and the Benbrook Community Center YMCA, will be giving crime and drugs a going away party October 4, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the 28th Annual National Night Out Against Crime and Drugs event. We cordially invite citizens of Benbrook and surrounding areas to be a part of our National Night Out 2011. This is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.
This year’s event will be NEW and EXCITING! Kids will have an opportunity to have their picture taken inside a police car. Register at the Kid Print I.D. booth or see up close just how big Benbrook F.D. Ladder 1 really is. Enjoy the bounce houses, get your face painted by W.H.H.S. cheer leaders or be mystified by the magic show!
Kids will also be delighted to see the “BIG DOG DANCE OFF” between McGruff, Chase from Chase Bank, Jack from Wells Fargo Bank, Cujo from WHHS, the BMS Bobcat and Rover from Tabernacle of Praise Church. The evening will end with a joint, live exercise between Benbrook Police & Fire Departments, a mock accident scene to include an exciting arrival and departure of the PHI helicopter medical unit!
Also, be there early to enter the drawing to WIN Dynamite Door Prizes including: bicycles, gift cards from Chase Bank, Albertsons and Brookshires, Casa Bucks from Taco Casa, dinners for from Pulido’s, car washes from Benbrook Car Wash, and oil changes from Kwik Kar.
The Police Department will also be offering registration for the way home program, a registry for people who have Alzheimer’s, Autism, or any mental condition that makes it difficult to communicate.
