Benbrook Adopt-a-Mile Program

The City of Benbrook encourages individuals and groups to participate in the Adopt-a-Mile program. This program allows citizens the opportunity to contribute to a cleaner environment by organizing activities to clean debris and litter from local roadways. The adopted roadway is self-monitored by the group, and clean-up activities are scheduled according to the group’s timeframe.
Adopt-a-Mile groups:
- Monitor routes at least once monthly to determine the need for a clean-up activity.
- Plan clean-up events to suit the members' schedules.
- Inform City staff of the clean-up date/time.
The City can provide trash bags. Filled trash bags may be taken to the City Maintenance shop dumpsters at 467 Winscott Road.
Once the group has established an adopted roadway, the City will purchase and place an Adopt-a-mile sign with groups name along the roadway.
